The Study on Civil Society Organizations Future Trends Identifies the Trends in the Field of: Funding, Including the Socially Excluded, Cooperation and the Influence of the Information Society

The aim of this project was to identify important trends that will influence the functioning of the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the coming years. An analysis of the aspects that influence the CSOs was carried out in cooperation with the CSOs. This analysis was aiming to find ways the CSOs could cope with the changing circumstances. The focus was on four main themes: diversifying the funding, including the socially excluded, different cooperation forms between the CSOs and the influence of the information society. In these four fields future trends were described. Idea for a future group discussion came mainly from the Great Britain based organization NCVO project Third Sector Foresight that helps the CSOs deal with the changing environment.
